The 390 Year Prophecy Of Ezekiel & 2520 Year Prophecy Of Daniel 5

In 539 B.C. Cyrus the Mede captured the city of Babylon. The Jews still had 23 more years of captivity that was foretold by Jeremiah that they would serve—a year for each one of the Sabbatical Years they did not keep in the past.
21 “…to fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her Sabbaths. As long as she lay desolate she kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.” (II Chronicles 36:21)
11 And this whole land shall be a desolation and an astonishment, and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. ‘Then it will come to pass, when seventy years are completed, that I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, the land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity,’ says the Lord; ‘and I will make it a perpetual desolation.’ (Jeremiah 25:11-12)
10 For thus says the Lord: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place. (Jeremiah 29:10)
Of this year when Cyrus captured Babylon a number of prophetic events were foretold. We are now going to look at these things a little closer to see what we can grasp for our own day.
Extra biblical literature can help set the stage for this particular night. Herodotus, the Greek historian, offers this interesting detail of what may have preceded the great banquet:
“A battle was fought at a short distance from the city, in which the Babylonians were defeated by the Persian king, whereupon they withdrew within their defences. Here they shut themselves up, and made light of his siege, having laid in store for many years in preparation against this attack.” (Persian Wars, Book 1, Sec. 190)
Those defences described by the historian were purported to be walls that were 90-feet high and so wide that six chariots could ride side by side at the top. Babylon stood seemingly impregnable and invincible for the ages!
We may not realize that by this time the city of Babylon stood alone as its soon-to-be conqueror, Persia, already stretched from Media on the East to the shore of the Aegean Sea on the West. Babylon was not simply in the way—it was to be the final, great prize!
Building on the thoughts of Herodotus, the Expositor’s Bible Commentary informs us that, although the Babylonians were aware of the Medo-Persian threat outside their magnificent and unassailable city, they knew beyond a doubt that no army could penetrate their fortress walls. They were secure in the knowledge that their walls had not been “…stormed by invaders in over a thousand years.” (Vol. 7, p. 70)
The Persian general Ugbaru, King Cyrus’s clever military strategist, recognized that he could not go over the walls, so he went under by diverting the Euphrates River into an old channel dug by a previous ruler. This reduced the water level well below the river gates. The rest is history, as the Persians and Medes waded thigh deep into a city that was caught asleep.

In Daniel we read:
1 Belshazzar the king made a great feast for a thousand of his lords, and drank wine in the presence of the thousand. 2 While he tasted the wine, Belshazzar gave the command to bring the gold and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken from the temple which had been in Jerusalem, that the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines might drink from them. 3 Then they brought the gold vessels that had been taken from the temple of the house of God which had been in Jerusalem; and the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines drank from them. 4 They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold and silver, bronze and iron, wood and stone. 5 In the same hour the fingers of a man’s hand appeared and wrote opposite the lampstand on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace; and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote. (Daniel 5:1-5)
6 Then the king’s countenance changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his hips were loosened and his knees knocked against each other. 7 The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. The king spoke, saying to the wise men of Babylon, “Whoever reads this writing, and tells me its interpretation, shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around his neck; and he shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.” 8 Now all the king’s wise men came, but they could not read the writing, or make known to the king its interpretation. 9 Then King Belshazzar was greatly troubled, his countenance was changed, and his lords were astonished 10 The queen, because of the words of the king and his lords, came to the banquet hall. The queen spoke, saying, “O king, live forever! Do not let your thoughts trouble you, nor let your countenance change. 11 There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the Spirit of the Holy God. And in the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, were found in him; and King Nebuchadnezzar your father—your father the king—made him chief of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers. (Daniel 5:6-11)
12 Inasmuch as an excellent spirit, knowledge, understanding, interpreting dreams, solving riddles, and explaining enigmas were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar, now let Daniel be called, and he will give the interpretation.” 13 Then Daniel was brought in before the king. The king spoke, and said to Daniel, “Are you that Daniel who is one of the captives from Judah, whom my father the king brought from Judah? 14 I have heard of you, that the Spirit of God is in you, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom are found in you. 15 Now the wise men, the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing and make known to me its interpretation, but they could not give the interpretation of the thing. 16 And I have heard of you, that you can give interpretations and explain enigmas. Now if you can read the writing and make known to me its interpretation, you shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around your neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.” (Daniel 5:12-16)
17 Then Daniel answered, and said before the king, “Let your gifts be for yourself, and give your rewards to another; yet I will read the writing to the king, and make known to him the interpretation. 18 O king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father a kingdom and majesty, glory and honor. 19 And because of the majesty that He gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. Whomever he wished, he executed; whomever he wished, he kept alive; whomever he wished, he set up; and whomever he wished, he put down. 20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit was hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him. 21 Then he was driven from the sons of men, his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. They fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and appoints over it whomever He chooses. 22 But you his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, although you knew all this. 23 And you have lifted yourself up against the Lord of heaven. They have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, which do not see or hear or know; and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified. (Daniel 5:17-23)
24 Then the fingers of the hand were sent from Him, and this writing was written. 25 “And this is the inscription that was written: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. 26 This is the interpretation of each word. Mene: God has numbered your kingdom, and finished it; 27 Tekel: You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting; 28 Peres: Your kingdom has been divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.” 29 Then Belshazzar gave the command, and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a chain of gold around his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom. (Daniel 5:24-29)
30 That very night Belshazzar, king of the Chaldeans, was slain. 31 And Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old. (Daniel 5:30)

MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN
Now Belshazzar saw the message that the hand had written on the wall, and the message troubled him. Now why did it trouble him? Could he understand the message on the wall? In part he did. It wasn’t just the handwriting on the wall, it was the message that he wanted to understand because it was written in his language. What was actually written there was a number.
Each of the words written there was a measurement of weight.
25 And this [is] the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. (Daniel 5:25)
The four words stood for MENE = 50 SHEKELS, MENE = 50 SHEKELS, TEKEL = I SHEKEL, UPHARSIN = 25 SHEKELS…
THE TOTAL EQUALED 126 SHEKELS.
The Bible says in Ezekiel:
12 “And the shekel shall be twenty gerahs…” (Ezekiel 45:12)
THE SHEKEL IS 20 GERAHS:
Exodus 30:13; Leviticus 27:25; Numbers 3:47; Numbers 18:16; Ezekiel 45:12…
20 x 126 = 2,520 GERAHS, OR SEVEN TIMES
He saw the number on the wall and he didn’t understand what it meant. Daniel comes in and discerned that this was not a good thing. You see, Daniel understood what the 2,520 meant—scattering. He knew it meant God’s judgment on the kingdom. That’s why he said, ‘Your kingdom is weighed and wanting, divided, numbered and finished!’
…THAT NIGHT BELSHAZZAR’S KINGDOM WAS FINISHED.
He had transgressed pass the point of no return. His kingdom would be rent from him.
MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN = 2,520 or, The Scattering.
This destruction of Babylon was the beginning of the prophetic message of Belshazzar’s grandfather, Nebuchadnezzar. Nebuchadnezzar or Babylon was restored after the seven year period in which Nebuchadnezzar was insane. Belshazzar was the beginning of this prophecy and after the 2,520 year period Babylon would be restored.
We read of King Nebuchadnezzar having a dream in the Book of Daniel:
10“Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed; I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of the earth, and the height thereof was great. 11 The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth: 12 The leaves thereof were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meat for all: the beasts of the field had shadow under it, and the fowls of the heaven dwelt in the boughs thereof, and all flesh was fed of it. 13 I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and a holy one came down from heaven; 14 He cried aloud, and said thus, Hew down the tree, and cut off his branches, shake off his leaves, and scatter his fruit: let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from his branches: (Daniel 4:10-14)
15 Nevertheless leave the stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth: 16 Let his heart be changed from man’s, and let a beast’s heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him. 17 This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.” (Daniel 4:15-17)
He was told that the tree would be cut down and around the stump would be wrapped bands of IRON and BRASS.
In Daniel we read:
33 “The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’ [feathers], and his nails like birds’ [claws]. 34 And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth forever, whose dominion [is] an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom [is] from generation to generation: (Daniel 4:33-34)
35 And all the inhabitants of the earth [are] reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and [among] the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? 36 At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me. 37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.” (Daniel 4:35-37)
During those seven times, or years which is 2520 days, (7 x 360 = 2520), Nebuchadnezzar’s reasoning was taken away. He couldn’t see clearly, but at the end of that seven times, Yahweh restored his understanding.
23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. (Daniel 8:23)
Understand brethren, that Nebuchadnezzar represents Satan and all of his empires down through the ages. He may be in a stupor at the moment, but soon he will understand the very deep meanings of Scriptures. Get ready!!
Belshazzar’s lack of humility and refusal to learn the lessons of history visited upon his grandfather resulted in grave consequences for his kingdom. As we have already quoted Edmund Burke, the philosopher, who so aptly put it: “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
Just like ancient times, people are going to be amazed at this future system. They are going to marvel, “Who is like the Beast?” (Verse 4), just like mankind did long ago when they
marvelled at the immensity of Babylon’s nine-story walls and said, “What’s the use? If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.”
Yahweh further defines this future system with its mix of political and religious power as “Babylon” in Revelation 17:1-6. In verse four the politico-religious system is identified as “having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations.” Note that a religious vessel is being used in a wrong fashion just like long ago on that night before Babylon fell.
When we add the 2,520 years to the year that Cyrus defeated Babylon in 539 B.C., we end up in the year 1982 C.E. When we add seven more years onto that, we come to 1989 C.E. What are we to make of these two dates? Read what the Catholic News Agency has to say below.

Pope Calls on Europe to ‘Return To Its Christian Roots’; For Youth To Become ‘Leaven’, July 25th, 2005 / 12:00a.m. (CNA)
Speaking before yesterday’s Angelus prayer to a group of some 8,000 pilgrims in Les Combes, in Italy’s Valle d’Aosta, where he is vacationing, the Holy Father recalled Europe’s deeply Christian roots and challenged the continent to return to them. Pope Benedict noted today’s feast of the Apostle James, “whose relics are venerated in the famous shrine of Santiago de Compostela in Spain, the destination of countless pilgrims from all over Europe.” He also recalled Friday’s feast day of St. Bridget of Sweden, patroness of Europe, and the July 11th feast of St. Benedict, who he called “another great patron of the ‘old continent.’ ”
“Contemplating these saints,” he said, “it is natural to pause and reflect on the contribution that Christianity has made, and continues to make, to the building of Europe.”
Benedict then turned to the pilgrimage made by “Servant of God John Paul II in 1982 to Santiago de Compostela, where he performed a solemn ‘European act’ during which he pronounced these memorable words: ‘I, bishop of Rome and pastor of the Universal Church, from Santiago, address to you, old Europe, a cry full of love: Return to yourself! Be yourself! Discover your origins. Revive your roots. Experience again those authentic values that made your history glorious and your presence in other continents beneficial.’ ”
The Pope pointed out that during the 1982 visit, John Paul II launched, “the project of a Europe aware of its own spiritual unity, based on the foundation of Christian values.”
“He returned to this theme on the occasion of World Youth Day 1989,” the Pope continued, “held at Santiago de Compostela, expressing his hope for a Europe without frontiers, a Europe that does not deny the Christian roots from which it grew and that does not renounce the true humanism of Christ’s Gospel. How appropriate this call remains today in the light of recent events on the European continent.”
The Holy Father then excitedly recalled the pilgrimage he will make next month, “to a historic European cathedral, that of Cologne, where young people have an appointment for their 20th World Day.”
“We pray that the new generations,” he said, “drawing their vital lymph from Christ, many know how to be leavening in European society for a renewed humanism, one in which faith and reason cooperate in a fruitful dialogue for the promotion of man and the construction of true peace.”
Brethren, keep in mind that the only part of the tree or the stump of Babylon that is still alive is the root system, which will continue to provide nourishment and send out a new shoot in time—2,520 years worth of time. This new shoot began to grow in 1982. The Roots of the tree, the Roots of Catholicism, the roots of Mystery Babylon were referenced to by the Pope in these two speeches in both 1982 and 1989.

The Berlin Wall (German: Berliner Mauer) was a physical barrier erected by the German Democratic Republic (GDR) (East Germany) completely encircling West Berlin, separating it from East Germany, including East Berlin. The longer inner German border demarcated the border between East and West Germany. Both borders came to symbolize the Iron Curtain between Western Europe and the Eastern Bloc. Prior to the Wall's erection, 3.5 million East Germans had avoided Eastern Bloc emigration restrictions to escape into West Germany, many over the border between East and West Berlin. During its existence from 1961 to 1989, the Wall stopped almost all such emigration and separated East Germany from West Germany for more than a quarter of a century.[1] The Wall included guard towers lining large concrete walls circumscribing a wide area (later known as the "death strip") containing anti-vehicle trenches, "fakir beds" and other defences. After its erection, around 5,000 people attempted to escape circumventing the wall, with estimates of the resulting death toll varying between 98 and 200.
During a revolutionary wave sweeping across the Eastern Bloc, the East German government announced on November 9th, 1989, after several weeks of civil unrest, that all GDR citizens could visit West Germany and West Berlin. Crowds of East Germans climbed onto and crossed the wall, joined by West Germans on the other side in a celebratory atmosphere. Over the next few weeks, parts of the wall were chipped away by a euphoric public and by souvenir hunters; industrial equipment was later used to remove almost all of the rest. The fall of the Berlin Wall paved the way for German reunification, which was formally concluded on October 3rd, 1990.
Take note that this date of 1989 was seven years after the stump, Babylon, came back to life in 1982; 2,520 years after she was cut down.
When I shift my attention to the year of 539 B.C. and look at it, I see that it occurs on the first year of the Third Sabbatical Cycle. When we take this and transpose it to our day in the same manner we did to the Prophecies of Abraham, as well as Isaac and Jacob and Joseph, then I am lead to believe that we will see the announcement of some magnitude of the reunited Babylon in 2010 C.E. In light of the previous article and that which is to come, the following two articles by Ron Fraser at the Trumpet Weekly TW20091024.pdf are of extreme interest for the coming year of 2010.
The EU —Unstoppable!
“I will not sign Lisbon Treaty, says Czech President,” headlined the Times on October 13. “Germans seek to oust Czech President Vaclav Klaus over EU treaty,” declared the headline in the Sunday Times a week ago.
Then on Saturday, the Telegraph ran an article under the headline, “Vaclav Klaus says it is ‘too late’ to stop Lisbon Treaty.” Quite an about-face in just five days. Whether the latter headline was a direct result of the threat from Germany is not a matter on which the popular press is reporting. Yet, given past results achieved by Teutonic political bullying within the European Union, one surely does not have to use much imagination to figure it out. As Klaus himself said, virtually declaring defeat in his one-man stand against the EU monolith, “I do not consider the Lisbon Treaty to be a good thing for Europe, for the freedom of Europe, or for the Czech Republic.
However, the train has already traveled so fast and so far that I guess it will not be possible to stop it or turn it around, however much we would wish to” (Telegraph, October 17).
All that is now lacking, following the earlier capitulations by Ireland and Poland, is for Vaclav Klaus to allow his trembling hand to sign the document.
Then once again it’s game, set and match to Berlin/Brussels on the most recent European imperial project, the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty.
Then early next year, watch for the big one—the one we have forecast for decades based on unerring Bible prophecy: the formation of an EU military force of global reach. The performance of Baron Karl Theodor zu Guttenberg in his new role as Germany’s minister of defence will no doubt be worth watching in this respect.
Finally, will come the overlaying of the whole European Union collective with the only ideology that has any hope of gluing its fractious member nations together—the imposition by law of an imperial religion governed from Rome.
Zu Guttenberg’s Rise
From his surprise appearance in the frontline of German politics via appointment as Germany’s minister of economics barely eight months ago, Baron Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg’s political trajectory has suddenly shot him into the senior portfolio of defence minister in Angela Merkel’s new coalition cabinet.
Zu Guttenberg’s projection from apparent political obscurity to this senior ministerial post at the tender age of 37 may well be without precedent in postwar German politics.
Yet he certainly was able to score highly in his short term as Germany’s economics minister, coming onto the scene at an awkward time politically.
The “rocking baron,” as he is termed, successfully guided Germany’s economic ship of state firmly through Germany’s most difficult economic period since World War II. His latest triumph was fending off EU resistance to the takeover of General Motors’ German division, Opel, by an Austrian-Russian consortium.
The Defence Ministry was zu Guttenberg’s portfolio of choice. “Following the success of the Merkel-led conservative political bloc at last month’s election, Baron Guttenberg has made little secret of his desire to switch from the Economics Ministry to the defence portfolio” (Deutsche Presse-Agentur, October 23).
The timing of this appointment of the aristocratic zu Guttenberg—protégé of Edmund Stoiber, in turn a protégé of Franz-Josef Strauss—could hardly be more significant.
Next year, following full implementation of the Lisbon Treaty, the European Union begins the development of the long-awaited European military force, a force that is set to rival and even overtake the military power of the once mighty United States. Germany sits in the box seat to lead that development.
Watch for zu Guttenberg’s continuing trajectory toward high office in the European Union!

Ireland’s President Mary McAleese’s signature completes the ratification process, removing almost the last barrier to what critics warn will be the installation of a mega-state in place of the present 27-member European Union: a continent-wide federated state centrally ruled from Brussels, “with a full-time appointed president and a foreign policy minister authorized to sign treaties, its own judicial and law-enforcement systems, military presence, eventual power to tax the citizenry directly, increased regulatory powers, and the removal of any vestiges of national sovereignty.
Karl A. Schachtschneider, Professor of Public Law at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg in Germany, who has been actively opposing the new provisions, made some chilling observations in an interview with Zurich-based Current Concerns (some added emphasis).
Schachtschneider: “The Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, in its ‘explanations’ and ‘negative definitions’ accompanying the fundamental rights, “allows a reintroduction of the death penalty in case of war or imminent war, but also the killing of humans to suppress insurgency or riot. This is in contradiction to the abolishment of the death penalty in Germany (Article 102 of the German Constitution), in Austria and elsewhere which results from the principle of dignity. …
We are fast entering what will be some of the most chilling times in human history. Each of us needs to repent and return to Yahweh and His Torah. I cannot stress that enough. You will not be saved because you belong to this group or that one. You may be saved if you’re obeying what is written in the first five books of the Bible, His Torah. If you are not yet doing so, then you still have a narrow window of opportunity to repent and that means change now to where you are obeying.
In the 390 year prophecy of Ezekiel we can learn something of related importance.
Let’s look at it again from the beginning and in light of the prophecy we have just looked at concerning Nebuchadnezzar.
1 “You also, son of man, take a clay tablet and lay it before you, and portray on it a city, Jerusalem. 2 Lay siege against it, build a siege wall against it, and heap up a mound against it; set camps against it also, and place battering rams against it all around. 3 Moreover take for yourself an iron plate, and set it as an iron wall between you and the city. Set your face against it, and it shall be besieged, and you shall lay siege against it. This will be a sign to the house of Israel.” 4 “Lie also on your left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it. According to the number of the days that you lie on it, you shall bear their iniquity. 5 For I have laid on you the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days; so you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel. 6 And when you have completed them, lie again on your right side; then you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days. I have laid on you a day for each year. 7 Therefore you shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem; your arm shall be uncovered, and you shall prophesy against it. 8 And surely I will restrain you so that you cannot turn from one side to another till you have ended the days of your siege.” (Ezekiel 4:1-8)
9 “Also take for yourself wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet, and spelt; put them into one vessel, and make bread of them for yourself. During the number of days that you lie on your side, three hundred and ninety days, you shall eat it. 10 And your food which you eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day; from time to time you shall eat it. 11 You shall also drink water by measure, one-sixth of a hin; from time to time you shall drink. 12 And you shall eat it as barley cakes; and bake it using fuel of human waste in their sight.” 13 Then the Lord said, “So shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, where I will drive them.” 14 So I said, “Ah, Lord God! Indeed I have never defiled myself from my youth till now; I have never eaten what died of itself or was torn by beasts, nor has abominable flesh ever come into my mouth.” 15 Then He said to me, “See, I am giving you cow dung instead of human waste, and you shall prepare your bread over it.” 16 Moreover He said to me, “Son of man, surely I will cut off the supply of bread in Jerusalem; they shall eat bread by weight and with anxiety, and shall drink water by measure and with dread, 17 that they may lack bread and water, and be dismayed with one another, and waste away because of their iniquity.” (Ezekiel 4:9-17)
When you take this prophecy of Ezekiel and you add it to the year that Israel fell. According to Edwin R. Thiele who is the utmost authority on the history of Israel and Judah, the 10 Northern Tribes of Israel fell in 723 B.C.

The year after 723 B.C. is 722 B.C. and it is a Sabbatical Year. The next cycle of the Jubilee Cycle at that time was the cycle of captivity and it began in the year 721 B.C. Now I do realize that there are some who say the fall of Israel happened in 721 B.C. Let us not argue this point at this time. We are talking about the 390 years of Captivity that Israel was to endure.

I am saying this curse of 390 years begins at this first year of this Captivity Cycle, 721 B.C. When we add 390 years onto this, we then arrive at 331 B.C. In 331 B.C. Alexander the Great defeated the Persian Empire.

The only historical event connecting Alexander the Great with the Jews is his visit to Jerusalem, which is recorded by Josephus in a somewhat fantastic manner. According to “Ant.” xi. 8, §§ 4-6, Alexander went to Jerusalem after having taken Gaza. Jaddua, the high priest, received a warning from God in a dream, in which he saw himself vested in a purple robe, with his miter—that had the golden plate on which the name of God was engraved—on his head. Accordingly he went to meet Alexander at Sapha. (“View” [of the Temple]) Followed by the priests, all clothed in fine linen, and by a multitude of citizens, Jaddua awaited the coming of the king. When Alexander saw the high priest, he reverenced God (Lev. R. xiii., end), and saluted Jaddua; while the Jews with one voice greeted Alexander.
When Parmenio, the general, gave expression to the army’s surprise at Alexander’s extraordinary act—that one who ought to be adored by all as king should adore the high priest of the Jews—Alexander replied:
“I did not adore him, but the God who hath honored him with this high-priesthood; for I saw this very person in a dream, in this very habit, when I was at Dios in Macedonia, who, when I was considering with myself how I might obtain dominion of Asia, exhorted me to make no delay, but boldly to pass over the sea, promising that he would conduct my army, and would give me the dominion over the Persians.”
Alexander then gave the high priest his right hand, and went into the Temple and “offered sacrifice to God according to the high priest’s direction,” treating the whole priesthood magnificently. “And when the Book of Daniel was shown him [see Daniel vii. 6, viii. 5-8, 20-22, xi. 3-4], wherein Daniel declared that one of the Greeks [
To the Jews of Babylonia and Media also he granted like privileges; and to the Jews who were willing to enlist in his army, he promised the right to live in accordance with their ancestral laws. Afterward the Samaritans, having learned of the favors granted the Jews by Alexander, asked for similar privileges; but Alexander declined to accede to their request. The historical character of this account is, however, doubted by many scholars. (see Pauly-Wissowa, ‘Realencyklopädie,’ i. col. 1422) Although, according to Josephus (‘Contra Ap.’ ii. 4, quoting Hecatæus), Alexander permitted the Jews to hold the country of Samaria free from tribute as a reward for their fidelity to him, and it was he who Hellenized its capital. (Schürer, ‘Gesch.’ ii. 108) The Sibylline Books (iii. 383) speak of Alexander—who claimed to be the son of Zeus Amon—as ‘of the progeny of the Kronides, though spurious.’”

2010 C.E. will be a year to watch. Indeed the next seven years are going to be very interesting. You all need to draw very near to Yahweh and if you’re not already praying, you had better get started. No matter how much you know about prophecy, you’re not going to save your own skin. If you survive, it will be because Yahweh has heard your prayers and has seen your obedience.
In conclusion, I have to once again go to two prophetic statements made so long ago by two very wise men, the Prophet Isaiah and King Solomon:
9 Remember the former things of old, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,’ 11 Calling a bird of prey from the east, The man who executes My counsel, from a far country. Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it. 12 “Listen to Me, you stubborn-hearted, Who are far from righteousness: 13 I bring My righteousness near, it shall not be far off; My salvation shall not linger. And I will place salvation in Zion, For Israel My glory.” (Isaiah 46:9-13)
9 That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun. 10 Is there anything of which it may be said, “See, this is new?” It has already been in ancient times before us. 11 There is no remembrance of former things, Nor will there be any remembrance of things that are to come By those who will come after. (Ecclesiastes 1:9-11)
